These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and installation of smart glass film and standard reflective and tinted film by Smart Glass Film, a company registered in England and Wales, Company No. under the name THE FRANCISES GENERAL TRADING COMPANY LTD (15235536),

1. Definitions

  • "Smart Glass Film", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Smart Glass Film.
  • "Customer" refers to any person, company or organisation purchasing products or services from us.
  • "Product" refers to the smart glass film and any accessories supplied by us.
  • "Installation" means the physical fitting of the Product by us or a third-party installer.

2. Orders and Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance. No contract exists until full or partial payment is received, or we issue a written confirmation.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are quoted in GBP and may be subject to VAT. Full payment is required prior to dispatch or installation unless otherwise agreed.

4. Delivery and Installation

We will make every effort to deliver and install the Product within the agreed timeframe. However, we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the site is accessible, safe, and ready for installation on the scheduled date. Additional charges may apply for delays caused by lack of access, site readiness, or other obstructions.

Where the smart glass film is being installed as part of a wider refurbishment or construction project, Smart Glass Film reserves the right to void the product warranty if changes made by the main contractor, site manager, or other third parties prevent or inhibit the standard or recommended installation method. This includes, but is not limited to, obstructions, delays, alterations to glazing, silicon, structural modifications, or changes to electrical configurations relevant to the product.

5. Cancellation and Returns

If you are a consumer, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, this right does not apply to custom-made, cut-to-size, or personalised products, including most smart glass film orders prepared to your specifications.

Returns are only accepted with prior written authorisation and may be subject to inspection and restocking fees. Products must be returned unused and in their original packaging. Smart Glass Film reserves the right to refuse returns of any goods that have been cut, installed, handled improperly, or damaged after delivery.

6. Warranty

Our smart glass film is covered by a manufacturer’s (factory) two year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the film only.

This warranty:

  • Covers the smart film itself.
  • Does not cover costs associated with site visits, removal, reinstallation, or labour.
  • Becomes void if the product is mishandled, altered, or not maintained according to our care guidelines.
  • Warranty periods and terms are defined by the manufacturer and may vary by product. Details are available on request.

7. Maintenance and Care

The Customer must follow our cleaning and care instructions. Damage caused by improper handling, unsuitable cleaning products, or unauthorised modifications will void the warranty.

8. Liability

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Our liability is limited to the value of the Product supplied. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

9. Data Protection

Smart Glass Film processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
